Hi! I’m Teralyn Davis!

I’m an audiobook narrator and voice actor based in Raleigh, NC, specializing in Fantasy, YA, and Romance.

I believe in three things:

I am the love child of Leslie Knope and Ted Lasso

Coke Zero is the superior beverage

Audiobooks are literally magic

I’d love to weave my magic into your story.

About Me

  • I got into audiobooks back in 2018 when a fellow cast member from the North Carolina Opera told me about ACX and how she was recording audiobooks from home. And as a mom to three little girls, that honestly sounded like heaven. Reading books after the kiddos go to sleep? Sign me up!!

So I borrowed some equipment and started auditioning. It wasn’t long before I landed my first contract. I upgraded my equipment and I’ve been narrating ever since!

I started out in my bedroom closet and after moving my studio around a few times, I finally moved into my Studio Bricks booth when my kids were old enough that I could make the leap into narrating full time.

  • I’ve narrated several titles through ACX as well as boutique audiobook publishing companies and major publishing houses. I love to narrate many genres, including fantasy, romance, cozy mysteries, crime thrillers, and young adult nonfiction.

I record from my home studio and often broadcast my sessions live on discord! Use the link below to join the server and make sure to turn on notifications to drop in on my recording sessions!

    • Studio Bricks VO edition booth

    • Townsend Labs Sphere L22 mic

    • Universal Apollo Solo preamp.

    • DAWs are a combination of Adobe Audition and Reaper

    • Zoom or Discord for remote directing sessions

  • I have been a singer and musician most of my life. I’ve been a part of choral groups, bands, and orchestras from the time I was 8 years old. So, you could say that performing has always been a huge part of my life. I became interested in acting as a teenager and have been a part of several theater productions, both amateur and professional.

  • If I’m not in my booth, you’ll find me drinking Coke Zero, listening to K-Pop (My favs are BTS and Stray Kids), or watching K-Dramas (they’re just soooo good!!).

I’ve often been accused of being a Jack of all Trades, but I just find that I love learning about new things! Whether it’s learning how to spin and knit my own yarn, singing, playing one of many instruments, photography, or learning Korean (very helpful for my K-Culture addiction), I always seem to find something new to learn.

Awards

“Author Jill McCorkle joins a talented group of narrators in a memorable performance of her terrific new short story collection. Sly, funny, perceptive, and searing, the stories explore what gets us through our days and years. Hayden Bishop, Teralyn Davis, Marcella Cox, Kathy Bell Denton, and Cary Hite bring a euphonious mix of Southern accents and helpful interpretations of the characters' joys and heartaches. A self-help group of women who've been dumped by the same man, a telephone lineman who struggles to connect, and a woman whose deafness is a shield against her husband's comments--these are some of the North Carolina author's cast of unforgettable everyday people. Add the exquisite timing of McCorkle's own performance of her hysterical-and-painful tale of a family reunion, and wow--just wow.”
